Depart Hanoi at 7:30pm on a sleeper bus to Ha Giang. Arrive approximately 4am. Free room and breakfast at Buffalo Hostel in Ha Giang City to rest before the adventure begins.
Depart at 9am. Ride through the spectacular Bac Sum Pass and up to Heaven's Gate for panoramic views. Stop in Tam Son for lunch.
Hike to Lung Khuy cave and visit the Lung Tam weaving village. Arrive at Can Ty homestay around 4pm. Walk to the famous 250-year-old Lonely Tree. Enjoy dinner with happy water & karaoke.
Ride the incredible Tham Ma Pass (5km, 1,500m altitude). Visit the Hmong King Palace and climb Lung Cu Flag Tower (400 steps) at the China border.
Lunch in Dong Van, then tackle the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass. Take a boat along the Nho Que River through the stunning Tu San Canyon. Arrive at Meo Vac homestay for dinner & karaoke.
Ride back through Ma Pi Leng Pass and over the dramatic Sa Ly Pass (M-shaped curve). Lunch in Mau Due.
Descend into the beautiful Du Gia valley, home to 17+ ethnic groups. Swim in streams and waterfalls before arriving at the Du Gia homestay for the night.
Depart at 8:30am. Ride through Duong Thuong commune with final mountain views. Lunch stop in Can Ty.
Return to Ha Giang City between 4:00–4:30pm. Trip ends.
