A compact northern lights experience exploring Iceland's west and south coast. Snæfellsnes peninsula, Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss and Reynisfjara — with nightly aurora hunts.
Arrive in Reykjavik and settle into your accommodation. In the evening, head out on your first northern lights hunt to kick off this aurora-focused adventure.
Drive to the Snæfellsnes peninsula. Visit the iconic Kirkjufell mountain, walk along the dramatic coast at Arnarstapi and explore ancient lava fields beneath the Snæfellsjökull glacier.
Explore the south coast stopping at Seljalandsfoss (walk behind the waterfall) and the mighty Skógafoss. Continue to Reynisfjara black sand beach with its basalt columns and sea stacks near Vík. Evening aurora hunt.
Complete the Golden Circle visiting Þingvellir National Park (where tectonic plates meet), the erupting Geysir geothermal area and the powerful Gullfoss waterfall. Return to Reykjavik where the trip ends.
